34B/44B Water Twister^®

The ESCO Water Twister® is an energy-absorbing water brake that converts kinetic energy to heat through fluid turbulence. This type of system operates automatically when an aircraft engages either the Hook Cable or Net Barrier. It is a constant runout, velocity-sensitive system that adjusts automatically to accommodate aircraft of varying weights, engaging speeds and off-center arrestments within the specified performance of the system. The 34/44B can be installed above or below ground level. And due to its simple design, there are few moving parts to wear out, keeping maintenance and servicing to a minimum.
