MAG The Mobile Arresting Gear (MAG) is a self-contained Water Twister® aircraft arresting system designed for rapid deployment on main operating air bases, forward operating air bases and at remote, emergency or temporary air strips. Each system includes all tools and equipment necessary for transportation, deployment, maintenance and operation. The MAG incorporates a Model 34/44 Water Twister energy absorber, and can be supplied as a conventional hook cable system for arrestment of hook-equipped aircraft, a stanchion net system for emergency overrun operations, or a combined system.

M31 The M-31 Marine Corps Expeditionary Aircraft Arresting System (MCEAGS) is a purpose-designed variation of a MAG configured specifically to meet the operational requirements of the United States Marine Corps (USMC).
